Jul 13, 2018 High-level emulators sacrifice accuracy for higher performance, while low-level emulators sacrifice performance for cutting-edge accuracy. Many of the emulators on this list trend closer to high-level emulation, but a few of the cores in RetroArch are actually low-level emulation of older consoles. INDS is a derivation of the previous Nintendo DS apps for iOS, nds4ios and Nitrogen. The original version, nds4ios, is a Nintendo DS emulator and a port of the multi-platform DeSmuME 0.9.10 for iOS. It runs many of the original games but, depending on the power of your device, not all may run at full speed. Nds4ios was created by InfiniDev, a joint development group with many.

If you have a PS Vita or PSTV on firmware version 3.60 to 3.73, you can turn it into a decent emulation device by installing the HENkaku homebrew enabler. If you're on the 3.60 firmware, you can obtain it here, for 3.65-3.73 use Final h-encore. Those on firmware versions prior to 3.60 can update manually by following the instructions here. Furthermore, on versions 3.60 and 3.65 it's possible to use a bootloader patch called enso, which loads HENkaku automatically at boot: Ensō for 3.60, 3.65. It's possible to downgrade firmware version with a tool called modoru.
